Battle of Steel is a "2D Side-View Tank Artillerist" that focuses on "Ballistic Trajectory" and "Structural Weak-Point Targeting." Unlike 3D tank games, this title emphasizes the "Arching Shot" mechanic and "Terrain Deformation." Players must calculate the physics of wind (if applicable) and elevation to launch explosive shells at enemy armored units while managing their own "Armor Thickness" and orientation to minimize incoming damage.

Use the joystick to move your tank across the rugged terrain. Tap and drag on the turret to adjust the "Elevation Angle" and "Shot Power," indicated by a dotted trajectory line. The gameplay is "Turn-Based Action": you must fire your shell, then prepare for the enemy's retaliation. You can switch between "Armor-Piercing (AP)" rounds for tanks and "High-Explosive (HE)" rounds for environmental destruction. The goal is to deplete the enemy's "Structural Integrity" bar before yours reaches zero.

High scores are earned through "Precision Sniping" and "Collateral Damage." Landing a "Direct Hit" on the enemy's turret triggers a "Critical Strike" bonus. The pro secret is "Terrain Advantage"—positioning your tank behind a hill so only your turret is exposed (the "Hull-Down" tactic) significantly reduces the damage you take. Eliminating multiple enemies with a single shell by hitting explosive barrels in the environment yields the "Tactical Master" multiplier.
