Tank Wars is an "Isometric Tactical Tank Battler" that focuses on Armor-Facing Logic and Cover-Based Warfare. This title emphasizes the "Tank-Duel" archetype, where the player must navigate a grid-like arena to destroy enemy units. It features a "Ballistic Reflection" mechanic where shells can bounce off hard surfaces to hit enemies behind cover. It is a game of "Geometric Ambush," requiring the player to think two moves ahead of the enemy's turret rotation.

Use the joystick or Arrow keys to move your tank; the turret rotates toward your movement or can be manually aimed. The gameplay is an Arena Elimination: destroy all enemy tanks to clear the stage. The interaction involves "Armor Management"—your front armor is stronger than your rear; always face the enemy when taking fire. You can collect "Power-up Orbs" that grant "Double Barrels" or "Speed Boosts." Use "Indestructible Walls" to hide and bait enemies into your line of fire.

High scores are achieved through Bounce-Shot Kills. Killing an enemy using a shell that has reflected off at least two walls grants a "Billiard Master" multiplier. The pro secret is "Turret-Locking"—spinning your tank in a circle while firing to create a "Ring of Death" that makes it impossible for the AI to find an opening. Completing a level in under 20 seconds yields a "Blitzkrieg" bonus.
